My photography work moved from self-taught passion to serious career-path six years ago when I started my photography degree in Lancashire. Since graduating I have returned to Devon armed with professional skill and ambitious determination.
I have had a modest amount of success in this industry, although this has been somewhat limited by my determination to set up my business in the South West. Previous highlights have included being invited by the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst to be the official Commissioning Ball photographer; meeting with the online editor of National Geographic in Hong Kong to plan a series of articles; and being chosen by Rock Artist's Management to art-direct the launch of a new super-group.
During the quieter months I also do a lot of specialist metal fabrication work, which started as a means for prop-production for my image production, and has developed into a viable sideline. This has previously included designing and fitting contemporary wrought-iron work in a major bar refit, as well as furniture design and manufacture, ornate sign production and the fabrication of unique versatile structures.
In between all of this I have been working to put Devon on the map, both as a source of serious creative industry, and as a major player in the fine-art world. As such I am currently managing and curating the art space at the Exeter Northcott Theatre, and I am continually looking for new creative minds to join forces with in the area.
